CAESAR

CAESAR (Captor Active Electronically Scanned Array Radar) is operating in the X-band multi-functional airborne radar which was developed by a 4-nation consortium as variant of the CAPTOR radar system for the Eurofighter.

The active phased array antenna is a composition of 1424 SMTR-Modules which are also used in the satellite TerraSAR-X, the battlefield surveillance radar BÜR and the missile control radar MEADS.

A prototype of this radar was built for demonstration and was the predecessor of the E-Captor.
