ORB-32 Héraclès Ⅱ
ORB-32 Héraclès Ⅱ is operating in the X-Band modular family of multi-purpose airborne radars for a variety of fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft.
The solid truncated paraboloid antenna with offset feed is stabilized in pitch and roll and to true motion or azimuth. Both permanent rotating and sector scan are possible.
The functions of the ORB-32 include:
- Exclusive Economic Zone control;
- anti-submarine warfare;
- anti-surface unit warfare;
- active missile fire control (Exocet missiles);
- search and rescue;
- radar navigation, and
- weather avoidance.
