EASAT PSR
The EASAT PSR (Primary Surveillance Radar) is an operating in the S-Band Terminal Area Radar (TAR) for use at airports for airspace surveillance and control of a landing approach.
The radar uses a parabolic antenna with a cosecant squared pattern and separate receive channels for the high and low beam for better-fixed target rejection. Both horn radiators can be switched from linear to circular polarization if required. The transmitter uses 12 or 24 solid-state amplifier modules, which can be changed during operation. Up to two of these amplifier modules can fail without any noticeable loss of range.
