V-MD3
V-MD3 is operating in the V-Band radar transceiver with digital signal processing which uses the experience gained in the automotive industry for long-range radars in this frequency band. It uses the technology of Frequency-Modulated Continuous-Wave Radar (FMCW) and can measure the speed, direction, distance and angle (in azimuth and elevation) of moving and static objects.
The sensor contains a radar front-end with 3 transmit and 4 receive antennas in patch antenna technology, coupled with a powerful FPGA signal processing chain. It has an Ethernet port for data readout and sensor configuration, and two configurable digital outputs for simple area monitoring or collision avoidance systems. It is possible to read sensor data from different processing stages, providing maximum flexibility for easy integration into different customer environments.
There is no need to write custom signal processing algorithms or to process small and noisy signals. The module has extensive functionalities for fast and simplified object detection, observation and measurement. The IP 65 housing with M12 connectors further simplifies integration in harsh environments.
