RQ-30
RQ-30 is an unattended operating in the K-band hydrological measuring radar for flow measurement for flowing waters.
The measuring system practically consists of two radars: one transmits vertically downwards to measure a distance, a second one slightly angled to measure Doppler frequencies and the flow velocity to be calculated from them. The non-contact measurement makes the system safe against damage from debris and flotsam.
