1RL123E “Istra” (Cyrillic: 1РЛ123-Е «Истра», Istra is a small river near Moscow) is a mobile, operating in L-band (IEEE designation) or in the D-band (NATO designation) coherent 3D medium-range air surveillance and target allocation radar for the combined FLAK and FLA missile complex 96K6 Pantsir.
The radar is installed on a Kamaz-6560 truck and is ready for operation 5 minutes after taking up a position. It uses a phased array antenna measuring 2.8 × 3.4 m.
A version of this radar for maritime use is the 5P27 Furke.
