L-IESA NR-IFF

L-IESA NR-IFF (L-Band Intelligent Electronic Scanning Array Non-Rotating IFF) is a Mode-S interrogator using a circular active electronically scanning array.

As a result of using a phased array antenna, no mechanical rotation is required. The antenna with a diameter of < 3.5 m also has a function of sweeping in the elevation angle, so that, for example, ship heeling can be compensated electronically and multipath replays can be supressed.
