TerraSAR-X
TerraSAR-X is a 5 meters long and 2.4 meters wide satellite featuring a structure with a hexagonal cross-section. It carries a 5 meters long and 80 centimeters wide radar antenna for a Synthetic Aperture Radar operating in X-Band.
The TerraSAR-X radar consists of 12 antenna panels, each equipped with 32 slotted waveguide radiators. Each of these waveguides is fitted with a standardized modular transmit/receive module, so that the whole antenna consists of 384 transmit/receive modules. The radar can operate in dual linear polarization.
