AN/APQ-170
The AN/APQ-170 radar is a multimode, redundant, dual-band (X + Ku-Band), and forward-looking radar that integrates terrain-following and terrain-avoidance features, as well as ground-mapping, weather detection and avoidance, and beacon interrogation modes of operation. It was specifically developed for the US-Air Force's Lockheed MC-130H Combat Talon II airplane.
Under its large distinctive nose radome there are two reflector antennas for the different frequency bands.
