ARLK “Ural”
ARLK “Ural” (ARLK: Aerodromnyy RadioLokatsionnyy Kompleks, Cyrillic: Аэродромны Радиолокационны Комплекс (АРЛК) « Урал ») is operating in the S-Band Terminal Area Radar designed to provide radar information for the control zone of an airport.
The radar uses a two-channel antenna supply (high and low beam) to reduce the influence of fixed clutter interference. This allows a high antenna gain with a particularly pronounced lower edge of the antenna pattern. The transmitter has a modular design and uses air-cooled amplifiers with bipolar transistors. Depending on requirements, 8, 12 or 16 modules can be installed to increase the maximum range.
The primary radar also includes an integrated secondary radar with a monopulse antenna.
