Adour

The Adour was operating in the C-band instrumentation radar. It was used, for example, at the French Guiana rocket launch site to measure the paths of rockets when optical systems fail due to smoke generation and glare from the fire beam.

The antenna is a symmetric parabolic reflector with a diameter of 3 m and a Cassegrain auxiliary reflector. The target tracking method is conical scan. The transmitter uses a magnetron.
