Okean

Okean is a maritime surveillance radar operating simultaneously in X-band and S band.

The antenna uses a single-curved parabolic reflector and is fed by two horn radiators mounted one above the other. The smaller lower horn radiator for the X-band also illuminates only the lower half of the reflector.

The basic version was delivered from 1968. From 1970 onwards, there were several modernizations in the area of improving the probability of failure, which led to the Okean M version. From 1980, the radar got an automatic radar plotting aid (ARPA) and an optical encoder for transmitting the angle of rotation of the antenna. This version got the designation Okean S.
