LW-02

LW-02 (LuchtWaarschuwingsradar, manufacturers internal designator: SGR-114/12) is operating in the L-band long range air surveillance radar.

The antenna was 7.8 meters wide and 4.25 meters high, with an weight of 0,95 metric tons. The LW-02’s transmitter is most likely the same as on the LW-01.

The LW-02 was exported to many countries, beginning with Sweden, later including Australia, Colombia and Germany. The Canadian AN/SPS-501 uses the LW-02 antenna but combines it with an AN/SPS-12 transmitter.
