AN/FPS-75

AN/FPS-75 was operating in L-Band air surveillance and target acquisition radar. It is a modified AN/FPS-36, the significant difference being the ECCM capabilities and the adaptation of the displays and interfaces to the NIKE HERCULES missile complex.

It was used in conjunction with the NIKE HERCULES missiles as so called ABAR (Alternate Battery Acquisitional Radar) to avoid the procurement of the original manufacturer’s HIPAR (High-Power Acquisitional Radar) radar, which was much too expensive.
