Sea Giraffe
Sea Giraffe is operating in the C-Band medium-range multipurpose search and target indication radar.
Sea Giraffe is delivered with two alternative fully stabilised antenna systems. One is an Ericsson design featuring three beams in elevation, the other is a CelsiusTech design with two elevation beams.
The radar was redesigned in early 1990s. The version Sea Giraffe 150 got the designation AN/SPS-505 in Canada and is fitted on Halifax class frigates.
