RAN-12 L/X
RAN-12 L/X is operating in the L and X-Band dual frequency air and surface surveillance radar. Italian Navy designation is MM/SPQ-712. A lower powered version is named RAN-11 L/X. The antenna is roll and pitch stabilised. The X-band sub-system is dedicated for detection of surface and low-flying targets, the L-band sub-system for air targets in mid-range altitudes.
