AN/SPN-5

AN/SPN-5 is operating in the X-band high resolution radar designed for navigational use aboard small Naval vessels. It is identical to RCA Radiomarine Model CR-101-A.

The antenna is a reflector type constructed of stainless steel made of a number of parabolic-shaped rods. It is about 5 feet wide, 1½ feet high, and 1½ feet deep. The horn radiator provides horizontal polarization.

The transmitter uses a type 725-A magnetron modulated by a type 5D21 tube (Tetrode).
