JPPS-P10

JPPS-P10 was operating in X-band battlefield surveillance radar

JPPS-P10 was a non-coherent pulse-Doppler radar. The detection of moving targets by the Doppler frequency was technically realized via an external coherence. The information about moving targets was provided acoustically in a headphone. On the right side of the housing, a small optical tube was attached, with which the target could be identified. The whole system was battery-operated, portable, and weighed only 18 kg.

The radar was put into service in 1982 and replaced the AN/PPS-4 used until then. In 2006 it was replaced by the JPPS-P24.
