Meteorit 2
Meteorit 2 (kyrillisch: «Метеорит-2») is operating in the upper L-band for precise orbit measurement of weather balloons with radiosondes. The practical maximum range was about 250 km.
The radar was a classic pulse radar with a magnetron as transmitter. The antenna used the principle of conical scan. The radiator rotated at a speed of 24 Hz. The parabolic reflector had a diameter of 2.5 m.
Dar Radar was developed in the early 1970s.
