AN/TPS-34
AN/TPS-34 was an operating in L-Band tactical air surveillance radar. It has integral height-finding using the V beam principle.
There are two transmitters using separate horn feeds, one for the vertical beam and one for the slant beam. The shaped reflector is double-walled, made of fiberglass, with dual reflecting surfaces sensitive to polarized radiation. The polarization is horizontal for the vertical beam, and vertical for the slant beam. It is assembled from 22 component sections.
The radar was phased out in 1980-1981.
