OAR M-61
OAR M-61 “Fruška Gora” was a probably operating in S-Band surveillance and aquisition radar in the former Republic of Yugoslavia. Manufacturer was the company “Rudi Čajavec” in Banja Luka (now in Bosnia and Herzegovina), based on licenses from the French company Thomson. Yugoslavia got the licenses in 1958, series production began in 1961. The radar was used in coastal defense and air defense, for example as a target aquisition radar for SA-2 ground-to-air missiles.
The antenna has a very wide elevation angle of 50° and provides a cosecant squared pattern. The radar is mounted on a truck FAP-13 “Njuškaš” (4×4, 13 metric tons), which was manufactured in Serbia.
