AN/TPS-13

AN/TPS-13 was operating in S band CW Doppler radar. It was designed for weapon control purposes, originally for measuring the velocity of objects in the range of 400 to 500 ft per second (120 to 150 m/s). The AN/TPS-13 used a superheterodyne receiver with an Intermediate Frequency (IF) of 30 MHz. The output-signal was an audio frequency as a measure of the speed.

The AN/TPS-13A was a variation designed for indoor use and lower speeds. It had different antennas than the AN/TPS-13, and a different audio amplifier.
