XPOL
The XPOL (X-Band Polarimetric Doppler Weather Radar) is a based on a modified marine radar RF unit and operating in the X-Band compact, transportable polarimetric weather radar. It is available as stationary weather radar or as mobile radar called MXPOL. The radar uses a 2.4 m diameter dual-polarization antenna. It collects reflectivity, Doppler velocity data, polarimetric radar parameters, to characterize clouds and precipitation.
The transmitter is of magnetron-type and can operate in staggered pulse repetition time.
