GMWR-25-SP
The GMWR-25-SP (GAMIC Multipurpose Weather Radar - 25 kilowatts - Single Polarization) is a weather radar operating in the X-band. It is coherent-on-receive and uses the Doppler frequency for precise measurements of the radial speed of the wind.
A magnetron in the transmitter generates the necessary peak power. This radar is also available with dual polarization under the designation GMWR-25-DP. It uses an antenna with splash plate feed instead of the simple horn radiator.
