BASTA
BASTA (Bistatic rAdar SysTem for Atmospheric studies) is operating in the W-Band FMCW Doppler radar for cloud and fog studies. It was developed by the French Laboratoire ATmosphe`re, Milieux, et Observations Spatiales (LATMOS), Guyancourt, France and built by the company Meteomodem.
The latest version of the instrument has a sensitivity of about -50 dBZ at 1 km for 3 s integration and a vertical resolution of 25 m.
