Meteor 50DX
Meteor 50DX is operating in the X-Band dual polarized weather radar (simultaneous transmission and reception, STAR). The Meteor 50DX can be used for regional campaigns in hydrological forecasting and scientific research, as a gap-filler in existing meteorological networks or to fulfil general meteorological functions. It uses a magnetron-type transmitter. The radar uses the meteorological Software Rainbow 5. A complete volume scan is created within 10 minutes.
The mobile solution is based on a trailer, which fulfills EU directives for street hangers (weight, height, width). The towing weight of this trailer is < 2.8 tons (i.e.: the trailer can be moved by most SUV Sport Utility Vehicles, SUV). The trailer also contains a generator for an independent power supply.
