AN/APY-9
AN/APY-9 is operating in the UHF-Band airborne early warning radar, installed in Northrop Grummans E2D “Advanced Hawk Eye” (AEH) in its 24-foot (7.3 m) diameter rotating radome.
The antenna consists of a group of horizontally polarized Yagi antennas of different lengths. In addition to mechanical rotation, electronic slewing is possible to better illuminate individual sectors of interest or to track individual targets more precisely.
