9S32
9S32 (Cyrillic: 9С32, NATO-designator: “Grill Pan”) is operating in the X-Band multichannel missile engagement guidance radar. It is a part of the Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM) complex “S-300V” (Russian designators: «Антей-300В», 9К81, NATO-designator: SA-12A “Gladiator” and SA-12B “Giant”). (Both Russian indices are often confused in picture names in Western literature.) The modernized version 9S32M got the NATO-designator “Grill Screen”.
The 9S32 uses a transmission type of space fed phased array antenna. It is able to engage up to 6 targets simultaneously.
This radar was delivered since 1988 to the Soviet armed forces.
