JTPS-P14
JTPS-P14 is operating in the S band (IEEE designation) or in the E/F band (NATO designation) long range air surveillance radar for detecting of targets in medium and high altitudes. The radar uses a rotating phased array antenna with electronic beam steering in the elevation angle. During transport, the antenna is folded onto the roof of the container. The system also includes a power supply container.
The radar became operational in 1988. It replaced the used in the Japan Air Force aging two-dimensional radar JTPS-P5.
