TMR MPDR 30/1

TMR MPDR 30/1 (Designator is an abbrevation of „Tiefflieger-Melde-Radar“ and „Mobile Puls-Doppler Radar“) was a 2D short-range low-level surveillance radar (gapfiller) operating in L-Band. The radar antenna was extensible with a hydraulic mast at a height of up to 13 m. The truck MAN 630 L2AE (5 metric tons) served as a carrier vehicle.

It is a solid state radar (without the transmitters power tubes and the displays CRT). The transmitted frequency is crystal-stabilized. The transmitters power tube is a 2.4 inch coaxial tetrode. The display utilizes a 12-inch cathode ray tube with long persistence.

The radar was used from 1971 to 1990 in the Tieffliegermeldedienst of the German Luftwaffe.
