AN/MPQ-34 (ROR)

During an ECM environment, range data on a target are most affected. For that reason, the Hawk system has got a range-only radar (ROR) that is used when required as an auxiliary means of providing range information for the system. The ROR is a pulse-type, quick-response, range-measuring radar that operates in K-band. The ROR is slaved to the associated illuminator in azimuth and elevation and presents a video signal to the battery control central where formulation of range data is accomplished.
