Wetterradar SWR-250

The SWR system is a Doppler radar system primarily used for the detection, processing and display of weather phenomena with the objective of generating advance warning of potentially threatening weather. It provides common weather radar requirements and simplifies the ability to detect, locate and track severe weather systems. The system provides quantitative reflectivity/precipitation information on weather targets within 240 nautical miles (480 km) of the radar antenna and also provides quantitative mean radial velocity and spectral width (turbulence) information on weather targets within 60 nautical miles (110 Km) of the radar antenna.
